The female gives birth every other year from three to four kittens. Sometimes up to six kittens. The little kittens stay with their mothers for up to two years. The puma’s prey is deer. They kill the deer and then being it back to their shelter and eat it for a few days. The color ranges from grey, to black, and to brown. The Eastern Puma can swim, climb trees, and can jump horizontally and vertically equally well. The biggest reason they are endangered is because of over hunting/trapping, destruction of habitat, and loss of main food supply.
